I want to thank Mr. Basement for the job that was done from start to finish. I should explain so you will understand how big a THANKS it really is. I have to admit that Mr. Basement was not my first call to repair the problems in my basement. I first called XYZ because of the company's certifications, but as I am very familiar with a certification is only as good as the knowledge behind it. When they came out we were advised we needed a complete drainage system which would mean trenching our entire basement perimeter and at a price tag of $11,000.00 dollars. Granted the price tag through me back a bit, but your home is your biggest investment next to your children. What was turning my wife and I off was this company didn't want to leave our home until they had a contract. A contract was signed and canceled the next day after my wife and I talked about it more. I then called Mr. Basement to come out and let me know what they could do with the problem in my basement. Joey Precht, one of their Project Managers came out. He asked to see the problem area's of my basement so that he could advise my wife and I on what could be done to fix the problems. When he seen the water marks behind the finished wall he advised me he would need to see the foundation wall behind it to see where the water was coming in and what kind of damage we had behind it. The wall was opened up so he could inspect the problem area. This was something that XYZ did not even ask me to do. He then inspected my sump pump to see if it was operational as well as the wear and tear on the unit; he let me know that I already had a french drain, which XYZ said I needed. After inspecting my sump pump; he advised me that even though my pump was operational, it should be replaced due to its age, wear and tear; this we expected and agreed with 110$, since I have been keeping it together with wire and a few nuts and bolts to keep it running. Again something else that XYZ didn't advise us of, but they couldn't advise us of it if they never even looked at it. Joey was very professional, and he didn't sale my wife and me the product or the company, he let the product and company sale it's self and educated my wife and I in the process. Too this my wife was extremely pleased with because she didn't feel pushed or harassed into buying something she was unsure of, which is how XYZ made her feel. We signed a contract that night with Joey, because of the way he handled himself, his knowledge, and his honesty.
Justin and Danny from Mr. Basement came out to do the work on the basement. I can't say enough good things about them. They were courteous, professional, knowledgeable and very organized. With each part of the job, they advised me of what they were doing and how the product works to fix the issue. Once they were done with the job and cleaned up, you would not have known they were even in our house except by seeing the work they completed. We would have them back to do future work in our home when the time comes without hesitation.
Last but not least, all my wife and I can say for Mr. Basement and the personnel they have as part of their company is: you have just made loyal customers and any work that we need done on our basement (i.e. walls, floor, insulation, etc.) will be given to Mr. Basement. You will be our first and last call that is made for all our basement needs. We will also be referring anyone we know that may need anything done to their basement in the future to your company.
Thank you again for your non-sales, tactic, honesty, education, hard work and a very dry basement
